Today is I LIKE MIKE Day so I felt to get in the spirit I'd write a couple song edits on his behalf. I sent these two songs edits to Matt Robins. I advise you look him up on youtube, he did two similar song edits (to the tune of Help! and Breakfast at Tiffany's) on behalf of Huck and performed them. Hopefully he can perform them and get them online. GO Huckabee for President 2008.  I am happy to now present: HUCKABEE & VOTE 4 HUCK.

We want someone, we both know it,

We all talk too much about it.

Ain't no real big secret all the same,

somehow, they don't understand it.

Listen, it don't really matter to me, baby,

We believe that he just can achieve,

You say he just might win that Huckabee.

(He just might win that Huckabee)

Somewhere, somehow,

Opponents must have kicked him around some.

Tell me why he didn't go there and make an attack ad.

It don't make no difference to me, baby,

Everybody's had to fight for the key,

You see he just could be our nominee.

(He just could be our nominee)

Baby, you know he just could be our nominee.

(He just could be our nominee)

Baby, we ain't the first.

I'm sure that in him Reagan's returned.

Right now this seems better than true,

But he's one of those guys the others have to pursue

Somewhere, somehow,

Opponents must have kicked him around some.

Who knows? Maybe the others attacked,

Played up, lied in dismay, and then some.

Honey, it don't really matter to me, baby,

Everybody's had to fight for the key,

You see he just, might win that Huckabee.

He just could be our nominee.

You see he just, might win that Huckabee.

He just could be our nominee.

You see he just, might win that Huckabee.

He just could be our nominee.

I Like Mike

WHY I SUPPORT MIKE HUCKABEE

I began to like Mike right around the time he got Number 2 in the Iowa Straw Poll. At first I was like most Republicans who didn't know who they would vote for this year. I was first drawn to Huckabee during the debates. I really enjoyed his sense of humor, honesty, and integrity I felt was lacking from the other candidates. To me, Romney was a flip-flopper, McCain too old and not right for the job, Ron Paul was crazy, Guiliani did too much "cronyism" but I thought I'd probably vote for him over the others. I didn't understand why Huckabee raised his hand stating he didn't believe in evolution but it intrigued me. I felt I needed to hear his reasonings. Turns out he's not truly against evolution, rather the assertion that evolution is random (No G-d control), and not guided. I agreed with him 100%. I saw him with his band and loved it. Especially since I'm the giant classic rock buff. Still I didn't know about his chances.

So then August rolls around and he gets Number 2 in Iowa. I decided then to become a Huckabee supporter. Everyone told me I was throwing my vote away but I said "No, the primaries are important and he's the only true conservative running, and if I vote for him then he just may win. You never know each vote is important." THEN CHUCK NORRIS endorsed HUCK and I knew Huckabee would win. I loved the commercial they made with the Chuck Norris Facts. Following that his poll numbers began to jump exponentially and when he passed Romney in Iowa and Guiliani nationally I began to aggressively push other Republicans I knew to endorse him too.

I was somewhat wary of his aggressive faith campaign but I realized based on his governorship of Arkansas that it is nowhere near as threatening as most of the media portrayed it as. I got annoyed at the major freak out about the "cross" in the ad by the media. I AM JEWISH, and 1) I didn't see the cross the first few times I saw it, and 2) I am glad he did the ad with a Christmas focus because all this Political Correct Happy Holidays only applies when Hanukkah occurs at the same time as Christmas. THATS RIGHT, I'm A JEW4HUCK!

I didn't see that in any of his blogs so far, especially since the media portrays him as super Christian, although I do know many jews who support him.

Then the big news, I spoke to Eric Yin, the head of the Huckabee campaign in the San Diego area about my becoming a leader in the campaign at UCSD, essentially Huck's UCSD On Campus Rep. Eric supported that, and as soon as school starts again I'll arrange several on campus events for Huck. I donated $105 dollars to Huck since I signed up on his website, $100 of that on the December 27th Money Bomb Day where he raised 90,000. I decided to make this blog as another way to support Huck as well as to serve as a good overall blog for me to vent, hahaha.

Here is my endorsement I left on his site:

Mike Huckabee is the best candidate running for president. From his proposals on immigration, to the FairTax, to reforming education he is the best candidate. Not only that but he has a brilliant foreign policy approach and has the best vision for America. Finally, who could dislike a minister in his own rock band whose favorite band is the Rolling Stones?

This is my first election that I will be personally able to vote in so I am very excited and optomistic for the change of title of Governor Huckabee to President Huckabee.

First Post

At first I didn't want to make a blog. It seemed a little weird to me after having so many other sites to deal with online like my facebook. Then I started reading blogs trying to get the latest news on the presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. After endorsing him on his site, becoming a campus representative for his campaign, and donating online I wondered what else could I do in my spare time for his campaign. Then I decided to make my own blog. I'll explain how he got my endorsement later. Some backround about me now, I'm currently a freshman at UCSD where I am majoring in Ecology, Behavior, & Evolution and minoring in PoliSci. I am a classic rock buff, and since I first started in my Junior Year of High School has seen over 20 classic rock concerts. I am also a great photographer. All four years of high school I worked at the LA Zoo as a student volunteer. I was elected as Head Photographer of the Student Volunteers in my Junior Year of High School.
